Should I get a different recommendation letter?

So, last summer I went to a summer writing workshop (I am a high school student interested in creative writing), and it required a recommendation letter. I am looking to do the same this summer. My old recommendation came from my creative writing teacher last year, who was very familiar with my writing. I could ask for a new recommendation from my current English teacher for this summer, but he hasn't actually read much of my writing and certainly not any short stories. So, my question: wouuld it be weird and/or detrimental to my chances if I reused the letter from last year, since she knows my writing better? I am applying to a different workshop this time.
