I think that like the brilliant scientist that he was, he didn't accept an anthropomorphic God, possibly a cosmic force whose detail could further evolve with the development of knowledge' His view then was humble, devoid of arrogance and like the true scientist he was he was open to many questions related to this issue, unlike so many dogmatists who exist in our midst.
