What help is there for a 17 year old ADHD sufferer?

My Eldest son (now 20 and a half) has ADHD, which was diagnosed officially when he was 15. He has had it since he was a tiny little boy. He has severe symptoms, even now but has never been aggressive or violent in any way or form. I don't think this is ADHD. It seems more likely that he has anger problems and needs to see someone before it really gets out of control. His mum should take him to see his GP and try to get a referral to a child psychologist. He is still a minor and should get some support. Can I also suggest you may like to signpost your friend to connexions who may have contact details for youth organisations which may be Able to help. The last thing she needs, is to have him labelled with a mental health problem.
