Dell issues?

I'm not sure what the other guy's problem with seeing that you're having an overall problem with Dell, their products and services; he certainly didn't have to be a jerk about it. All that aside, yes, a lot of other people have had the problems with Dell you are having. Some refer to it as "Dell Hell". Just like you, Dell is not helpful with issues with their product, they'll take your money and charge you more, even if you pay on time. I've had similar trouble as you mention, with my notebook not downloading most installation programs online, audio plays inconsistantly (with or without headphones/internal speakers) Someone sugguested downloading drivers from Dell to me too and it didn't do anything either.
