Why are the slopes positive and not negative?
So there are two pairs of lines, one is DE and FG (DE has an x-intercept of 4 and y intercept of -6 and FG has an x-intercept of -6 and y-intercept of 4). Then, there's HJ and KM (HJ has an x-intercept of -2 and a y-intercept of 3 and KM has an x intercept of -9 and a y-intercept of 6). The question is asking what do DE and FG have in common, and what do HJ and KM have in common. The answers are the same to both of the questions. I got that they were both negative slopes and reciprocals but the answer key said that they were both POSITIVE slopes and reciprocals. How is it that their positive slopes?
