My dog has a non contagious mange?

My dog has Demodectic Mange. I took my dog into the vet and found out she has Demodectic Mange and she is being treated with a flea dip and antibiotics... Just feel bad cause she is really red and scabby in some spots, she looks miserable is there anything I can do to ease her way through the treatment maybe speed it up or just make her more comfortable? Going to ask her doctor on Monday on what else more I can do... Does anyone have a personal experience with their dog... your advice would be greatly appreciated....
